Leander de Wit

Leander finished his bachelor Soil, Water, Atmosphere at Wageningen University and Research in 2022. He is now working as an intern at Weather Impact in a final project towards graduation from the MSc Earth & Environment in Wageningen. He has a passion for operational meteorology and gained experience with numerical weather modelling during his thesis in collaboration with MET Norway.

The project Leander is working on focusses on validating precipitation forecasts over Zimbabwe. He likes the multi-faceted challenges that are associated with this evaluation, as observations, model data and post-processed products all need to be compared in this research project.
