Tree planting at schools in the Gambia

Together with GreenUp Gambia we have planted fruit trees in the Gambia, to offset the carbon emissions from our 2025 work related flights. A meaningful investment, making a direct impact with an education aspect.

Mango, avocado, soursop, guava and orange trees are now planted across 5 different schools in the Gambia. Including watering cans and tree guards to keep the trees save from animal damage.
This will not only provide food and shade, but also teach the students hands-on about nature, planting and sustainability.

Green-up Gambia supports the realization of the Great Green Wall of the African Union, which has the ambition to plant an 8000km wall of trees across the Sahel.  We can not think of a better partner in this. We are looking forward seeing the students eventually harvest and enjoy the fruits!
