Ilse Nijensteen is a second year master student in Geoscience & Remote Sensing at Delft University of Technology. This master is about modelling, data analysis and data processing in the context of geosciences. She already completed bachelors in Applied Mathematics and Physics. As a part of her master, she is now a trainee at Weather Impact, contributing to the development of the ‘Waarschuwing voor WaterOverlast’ (W2O) project. This innovative service will use a combination of satellite data, weather predictions, hydrological models and algorithms to make better flooding predictions.
