15 July 2020. Cereal Growers Association (CGA) and Weather Impact (WI) sign an agreement to continue Weather information delivery to the members of CGA. CGA is a non-profit, national farmer association registered in Kenya. The organisation mobilizes cereal and pulse smallholder farmers and supports them in their production and marketing. CGA farmers typically grow maize, sorghum, beans, cowpeas, pigeon peas and green grams. CGA and WI share their ambition in Kenya to support farmers in their decision making on the farm with reliable weather information and wish to optimize their food productivity. The agreement is a continuation of the partnership between CGA and WI in the CropMon project, in which more than 80,000 CGA member farmers were registered to Weather Impacts’ mobile weather service.
