Improving agri-weather services in Myanmar thanks to WE4F winning proposal

For the coming two years Weather Impact will continue its fruitful collaboration with Village Link thanks to our winning proposal for the Water and Energy for Food innovation (#WE4F) program. We are delighted that Village Link, as one of the most successful agri-tech start-ups in Myanmar, will take the leading role in this project in which we strive towards improving agri-weather services for farmers all across Myanmar.
In pursuit of this goal, Weather Impact delivers and expands various products like daily-updated weather forecasts, weather alerts for hazardous weather situations like heavy rainfall that can cause flooding, crop suitability maps, and more. Those suitability maps show the suitability of growing a certain crop based on fast-changing climate parameters and soil type, for which Weather Impact has digitized a soil map of Myanmar.
Agri-weather information is disseminated via the #HtwetToe app that was developed by Village Link. Every day new farmers are onboarding this app to receive crucial information to adapt to climate change and improve their yields.
