Kenian farmers receive localized weather forecasts via SMS

We have started up our weather forecast text messages again for the farmers of Equity Group Foundation in Kenya. The first forecast SMSs have been sent out to 94000 farmers. The farmers receive the weather forecast twice a week. Every first SMS of the month also contains an outlook on the rainfall over the next season.

During the project, we will further update the messaging with farm management advice and we will test our Weather4Farmers app in Kenya.
