Weather impact is partner in the MyVAS4Agri project. MyVAS4Agri is an acronym for Myanmar Value Added Services for Agriculture, a G4AW project funded by the Netherlands Space Office. Weather Impact delivers in this service the weather forecasts and monitors current weather conditions.

This webpage has been developed to demonstrate advisories generated for farming activities that are not crop-specific: Fertilizing, spraying and weeding.

Fertilizing
A good day to fertilize your field is a day with no or low rainfall and a comfortable working temperature.

Spraying
A good day to fertilize your field is a day with no rainfall, a normal temperature and low to medium wind speed.

Weeding
A good day to fertilize your field is a day with no or low rainfall and a comfortable temperature.

Example advisories
Suppose the weather today is unsuitable for spraying in Bago, but from the timeseries you see that the weather is suitable on Wednesday. Example advisory can then be: “Today, the weather in Bago is unsuitable for spraying. On Wednesday, the conditions are more suitable. Consider spraying on Wednesday.”
